What vehicles does Airport Transportation Toronto operate?
The ATT airport taxi fleet operates four vehicle classes: Luxury Sedan (Lincoln Town Car, seats 3), Full-Size SUV (GMC Yukon XL, Chevrolet Suburban, Cadillac Escalade, Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator — seats 6), 9-Passenger Sprinter Van (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, seats 9), and 14-Passenger Sprinter Van (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500, seats 14). Every vehicle is late-model (maximum 5 years old), CVOR-certified for Ontario commercial passenger transport, and US DOT authorized for cross-border service to Buffalo and Detroit airports. Safety inspections every 6 months. Winter tires from December 1 to March 31.

- Fleet Standards · Late-Model, Inspected, Insured
Every Vehicle Is Current. Every Vehicle Is Inspected.
Late-model is not marketing language at Airport Transportation Toronto. It is an operating rule. No vehicle runs commercial service beyond 5 model years old. No vehicle carries a passenger beyond 150,000 kilometres on the odometer. Sedans are refreshed on a 3-year cycle. SUVs on a 4-year cycle. Sprinter vans on a 5-year cycle due to commercial-grade Mercedes-Benz chassis engineering. Every vehicle clears the Ontario Ministry of Transportation Commercial Safety Inspection every 6 months as a condition of CVOR certification. Daily pre-trip driver checks cover tires, brakes, lights, fluids, and interior. An annual mechanical audit by a licensed commercial mechanic covers suspension, transmission, electrical, safety equipment, and emissions. Maintenance records are retained 7 years. No vehicle operates with any open safety defect — the fleet reliability rate on en-route incidents is under 0.4 percent across over 40,000 trips annually.

- Group Travel & Cross-Border · Sprinter Fleet
Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Built for Groups and Distance.
The Sprinter fleet is the backbone of our group-travel and cross-border service. Corporate teams of 12 arriving on the same flight into Pearson do not split across three SUVs — they board one 14-passenger Sprinter and arrive at the office together. Wedding parties moving between ceremony venue, photo location, and reception do so in a single vehicle. Sports teams travelling to tournaments in Buffalo, Detroit, or Montreal fit equipment, players, and coaches in one 14-passenger coach configuration. Every Sprinter is the Mercedes-Benz diesel commercial chassis, chosen for the combination of passenger comfort, luggage capacity, fuel economy on 500-kilometre cross-border runs, and the active safety equipment that Mercedes builds into every production year. Seat belts on every seat. Overhead luggage shelves. Dedicated rear climate. Complimentary WiFi standard. Wheelchair ramp available upon 48-hour request.
- Standard Amenities · In Every Fleet Vehicle

Bottled Water on Request
Complimentary bottled water available in every vehicle. Flag any special preferences (sparkling, room-temperature, bottled coffee) at booking.

- Fleet Maintenance · Four-Layer Schedule
The Vehicle You Board Is The One We Would Board.
Fleet maintenance at Airport Transportation Toronto runs on a four-layer schedule with maintenance records retained 7 years and available to passengers and insurance carriers on request. Layer one is the daily pre-trip driver inspection covering tires, brakes, lights, fluids, and interior cleanliness. Layer two kicks in every 5,000 kilometres when the vehicle returns to our maintenance partner for oil change, tire rotation, and multi-point inspection. Layer three is the semi-annual Ontario Ministry of Transportation Commercial Safety Inspection required under CVOR certification. Layer four is the annual full mechanical audit by a licensed commercial vehicle mechanic covering suspension, transmission, electrical systems, safety equipment, and emissions. Winter tires from December 1 to March 31. Snow chains carried on all SUVs and Sprinters for highway corridor travel to Barrie and cross-border routes. The standard we apply to the fleet is the standard we would want on our own family’s ride to the airport.
- Fleet Credentials · What Stands Behind Every Vehicle
The Credentials Behind Every Trip.
Certifications, authorizations, and insurance backing every ATT fleet vehicle and every driver who operates one.
CVOR Certified
Ontario Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration covering driver credentials, fleet inspections, and safety record.
US DOT Authorized
Cross-border passenger transport licence for Buffalo (BUF) and Detroit (DTW) airport service with I-94 processing.
$5M Liability Insurance
Commercial passenger carrier coverage up to $5 million CAD, plus passenger injury and luggage damage.
4.9 Google Rated
Consistent on-time performance across over 40,000 trips annually. Professional drivers. Clean vehicles. Zero surprises.
- The Driver in Every Vehicle
Behind Every Fleet Vehicle Is a Trained Commercial Driver.
A beautiful vehicle with an untrained driver is worse than a basic vehicle with a professional. Every ATT driver holds an Ontario Class F driver’s licence with CVOR endorsement, a Transport Canada medical clearance, and five or more years of commercial passenger transport experience. Drivers are screened through criminal record checks, driving record reviews, and reference verification before their first passenger trip. Annual retraining covers defensive driving, passenger service standards, airport terminal protocols, cross-border documentation, and emergency response. Every driver carries a personal mobile phone for passenger contact and a dispatch-issued tablet for flight tracking and live navigation. Dress standards are business-professional for sedan and executive SUV service, business-casual for Sprinter group transport. The driver who meets you at Door A of Terminal 1 is not a shift-filler. The driver is the person we trust to represent the fleet.

- Fleet FAQ · Vehicle & Service Questions Answered
Every Question About The ATT Fleet.
From passenger capacity to winter tires to wheelchair accessibility, the complete answer to every fleet question Toronto travellers ask.
What vehicles are in the Airport Transportation Toronto fleet?
Our fleet covers four vehicle classes for every airport transportation need across Toronto, the GTA, and cross-border to Buffalo and Detroit. The Luxury Sedan class operates with Lincoln Town Car and equivalent executive sedans seating up to 3 passengers. The Full-Size SUV class operates with GMC Yukon XL, Chevrolet Suburban, Cadillac Escalade, Ford Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator seating up to 6 passengers. The 9-Passenger Sprinter Van serves groups up to 9 passengers with 9 checked bags. The 14-Passenger Sprinter Van serves corporate teams, wedding parties, and family reunions up to 14 passengers. Every vehicle is late-model, CVOR-certified, and US DOT authorized for cross-border travel. See our flat rate page for pricing across each vehicle class.
How many passengers does a luxury sedan fit for airport taxi service?
Our luxury sedans seat up to 3 passengers comfortably with 3 standard checked bags in the trunk. A Lincoln Town Car or equivalent executive sedan is the right choice for solo business travellers, couples, and parents travelling with one child. For parties of 4 or more passengers, or for 4 or more checked bags, upgrade to the Full-Size SUV class. Sedan seating includes full-size rear legroom, leather interior, and climate-controlled cabin. Our airport town car page covers sedan-specific service details.
How many passengers does a full-size SUV fit for Pearson Airport?
Our full-size SUVs seat up to 6 passengers with 5 to 6 checked bags plus carry-ons. The fleet operates GMC Yukon XL, Chevrolet Suburban, Cadillac Escalade, Ford Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator — all full-size body-on-frame SUVs with three rows of seating. The third row folds flat when extra luggage space is needed, giving you the option to trade a rear seat for oversized items such as skis, golf clubs, or strollers. Six-passenger SUV trips include the driver in the front seat and 6 passengers split across rows 2 and 3. For groups of 7 passengers or more, the 9-Passenger Sprinter Van is the correct vehicle class.
What is the largest vehicle in the Toronto airport taxi fleet?
Our largest vehicle is the 14-Passenger Sprinter Van, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter configured with 14 passenger seats plus driver. Typical use cases include corporate team travel from the airport to downtown Toronto offices, wedding party transfers between hotels and venues, extended family reunions arriving on the same flight, and sports team transportation. The 14-pax Sprinter seats 14 passengers in 4 rows with space for 10 to 14 checked bags depending on luggage size. Seat belts on every seat are standard. Pre-booking 72 hours ahead is recommended for 14-passenger Sprinter reservations, especially for holiday weeks and wedding seasons.
Are the vehicles new or late-model?
Every vehicle in the ATT fleet is late-model — defined as current model year or up to 4 model years old. Sedans are refreshed every 3 years. SUVs are refreshed every 4 years. Sprinter vans are refreshed every 5 years due to the longer service life of commercial-grade Mercedes-Benz chassis. Every vehicle undergoes a full Ontario Ministry of Transportation safety inspection every 6 months as part of our CVOR certification. Daily pre-trip inspections cover tires, brakes, lights, fluids, and interior cleanliness. You never board a vehicle with more than 150,000 km on the odometer and never board a vehicle more than 5 calendar years old.
Are child car seats available in every vehicle?
Child car seats are available upon request for every vehicle class in our fleet — Sedan, SUV, 9-passenger Sprinter, and 14-passenger Sprinter. Infant seats, toddler seats, and booster seats meeting Transport Canada CMVSS 213 safety standards are installed by your driver before pickup when requested at booking. Multiple child seats in the same vehicle are available upon request — particularly common for family SUVs and Sprinter van bookings with young children. Specify the seat type and child age at booking so the correct seat is installed. See our child car seat page for seat specifications.
How much luggage fits in an airport taxi SUV from Toronto?
A full-size SUV fits 5 to 6 standard checked bags (26 to 30 inches, up to 50 pounds each) in the rear cargo area with all 3 rows of seats occupied. If the third row is folded, the SUV fits 9 to 10 checked bags, which is ideal for 4 passengers travelling with extended-trip luggage or sports equipment. Oversized items such as skis, golf bags, bicycles in boxes, and large strollers are accommodated by folding the third row. For groups bringing 10 or more bags, the 9-passenger Sprinter Van is the correct choice. Always specify unusual luggage at booking so your driver arrives with appropriate vehicle configuration.
Do the vehicles have WiFi or device charging?
Every vehicle in the ATT fleet includes standard amenities for business travellers: USB charging ports at every seat (USB-A and USB-C), climate-controlled cabin with rear-zone temperature adjustment on SUV and Sprinter, bottled water on request, and phone mount available. Complimentary WiFi is available on SUV and Sprinter vehicles for trips longer than 45 minutes. For sedans, WiFi is available on request for corporate clients at no additional charge. Bluetooth audio and wireless phone charging are available on select SUV vehicles. Specify WiFi at booking if working during your trip is essential.
Which vehicle should I choose for airport transportation in Toronto?
Pick your vehicle by the highest of three numbers: passenger count, bag count, and trip type priority. For 1 to 3 passengers with 3 bags on a standard business trip, the Luxury Sedan is correct. For 4 to 6 passengers, or 1 to 3 passengers with 4+ bags or sports equipment, the Full-Size SUV is correct. For 7 to 9 passengers, or family groups wanting seat-belt-equipped wagon-style seating with overhead space, the 9-Passenger Sprinter is correct. For 10 to 14 passengers, corporate team travel, or wedding parties, the 14-Passenger Sprinter is the only vehicle class that seats the group legally with Transport Canada-compliant belting. When in doubt, size up one class — the rate difference is typically 30 to 50 percent, and vehicle upgrades are always available at the time of reservation.
Can I request a specific SUV model for my airport transfer?
Yes. Specific SUV model requests are accepted at booking subject to availability. The fleet operates GMC Yukon XL, Chevrolet Suburban, Cadillac Escalade, Ford Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator. The Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator are the two executive-trim SUVs most frequently requested for VIP airport transfers, C-suite executive travel, and wedding transportation. Book 48 hours ahead minimum for specific model requests to guarantee assignment. If your first-choice model is unavailable on your travel date, we offer the closest-equivalent SUV from the fleet at the same rate. For the airport limo Toronto experience with executive trim, specify “Escalade or Navigator” at booking.
Are ATT fleet vehicles insured for cross-border travel to the US?
Yes. Every ATT fleet vehicle carries US DOT authorization and cross-border commercial insurance covering trips into New York State (Buffalo Airport) and Michigan (Detroit Airport). Insurance coverage includes liability up to $5 million CAD, passenger injury coverage, and full replacement value on luggage damage claims. Drivers on cross-border routes carry enhanced driver’s licenses or passports for the border crossing. Your insurance coverage as a passenger is active from pickup to drop-off regardless of which side of the border the vehicle is operating on. See our Buffalo airport and Detroit airport pages for cross-border route details.
How clean are the vehicles for each airport trip?
Every vehicle is detailed before each trip — not daily, but between each booking. The detail includes vacuuming of seats and floor mats, wiping of all touch surfaces with disinfectant, cleaning of interior windows, refreshing of water bottles, and air freshener check. A full interior deep clean is performed weekly on every fleet vehicle, and a full exterior wash is performed after every 3 trips or at the end of each day whichever comes first. Pet hair and food odours are handled immediately. If your vehicle arrives with any cleanliness concern, text your driver and a replacement vehicle is dispatched within 30 minutes at no charge.
Do vehicles have winter tires in Toronto?
Every ATT fleet vehicle runs Transport Canada-approved winter tires from December 1 to March 31 each year, regardless of the temperature on any given day. Winter tires are mounted on dedicated rims, stored off-season at our Toronto depot, and installed before the first forecasted snowfall of the season. For Sprinter Van and SUV vehicles serving cross-border routes through Buffalo, New York winter tire requirements are met by the same Transport Canada-approved tires. Snow chains are carried in all SUVs and Sprinters for use during extreme weather on highway 400 corridor trips to Barrie and beyond. Summer tires are reinstalled only after the final forecasted frost of spring.
Can the vehicles accommodate wheelchairs or mobility devices?
Standard ATT fleet vehicles accommodate folding manual wheelchairs and walkers in the trunk or cargo area of SUV and Sprinter classes. For passengers using non-folding wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, or scooters, our 9-passenger and 14-passenger Sprinter vans have ramp access available upon request with 48 hours notice. The Sprinter ramp converts the vehicle into a wheelchair-accessible transport meeting Ontario Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards. Specify mobility-device type and weight at booking so the appropriate vehicle and securement equipment are assigned. There is no surcharge for wheelchair-accessible service.
How is the fleet maintained?
Fleet maintenance follows a four-layer schedule. Daily pre-trip driver inspection covers tires, brakes, lights, fluids, and interior. Every 5,000 km the vehicle returns to our maintenance partner for an oil change, tire rotation, and multi-point inspection. Every 6 months the vehicle completes the Ontario Ministry of Transportation Commercial Safety Inspection required under CVOR certification. Annually, every vehicle receives a full mechanical audit by a licensed commercial vehicle mechanic covering suspension, transmission, electrical systems, safety equipment, and emissions. Maintenance records are retained for 7 years and available to passengers and insurance carriers upon request. No vehicle operates in commercial service with any open safety defect.
What happens if my assigned vehicle breaks down en route?
Fleet-wide mechanical reliability is under 0.4 percent en-route incidents across over 40,000 trips annually. In the rare event of a mechanical issue during your trip, your driver alerts dispatch immediately and a replacement vehicle is dispatched from the nearest depot within 20 to 40 minutes. For airport pickups approaching departure time, dispatch prioritizes the fastest-arriving replacement vehicle over vehicle-class match — you may receive a Sedan swap for a booked SUV to meet your flight, and the trip is re-rated down to the Sedan flat rate retroactively. Your fleet-reliability coverage includes any fees or penalties from airline missed connections proven to be caused by vehicle breakdown, covered under our commercial liability policy.
Are there black or executive-colour vehicles in the fleet?
The majority of the ATT fleet is black and white. All sedans are black with tan or black leather interior. Full-size SUVs are available in black (Yukon XL, Suburban, Escalade) and white (Expedition, Navigator) depending on model year and trim. 9-passenger and 14-passenger Sprinters are white with black interior standard, matte black available on request 72 hours ahead. For wedding transportation, corporate conference arrivals, and executive client service where a specific exterior colour is required, specify at booking. Most client requests for “executive look” are met with black Escalade or Navigator.
How do I reserve a specific vehicle from the ATT fleet?
Reserve any fleet vehicle through the reservation page, by phone at (888) 786-8007, or by email to info@airporttransportationtoronto.com. Specify vehicle class at the time of booking: Sedan, SUV, 9-pax Sprinter, or 14-pax Sprinter. For specific model requests within a class (such as “Cadillac Escalade” within SUV class), note the model name in your booking and book 48 hours ahead minimum. Vehicle class upgrades after booking are free when an upgrade is available. See the flat rate page for confirmed pricing per vehicle class to every Toronto and GTA airport.
